For the purpose of this Policy, the term ‘service’ shall have the same meaning as described in the terms and conditions listed on our Application. (hereinafter collectively referred to as “ Services ”).
1.1 Your privacy is important to you and to us. So we’ll protect the information you share with us. To protect your privacy, the Application follows different principles in accordance with worldwide practices for customer privacy and data protection.
1.2 We at Garag are committed to respecting your online privacy and recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information (“ Personal Information ”) you share with us. For the purpose of this Policy, Personal Information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical address and an email address or other contact information, whether at work or at home. If moreover, Personal Information is revealed to us, we won’t sell or give away any content of your Personal Information to anyone, and use state-of-the-art security measures to protect your information from unauthorized users.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

Garag is only an intermediary service provider (herein after referred to as “ Intermediary ”), and not a direct employer nor distributor or supplier of candidates. Accordingly, Garag has no more control over content transacted or exchanged through the platform other than content available in a public library, bookstore, marketplaces or newsstand. The Application does not permit you to make monetary transactions. Such transactions can only be made through third party Applications, whether listed or not on our Application. We do not collect, process, procure, gather or use your credit card information and therefore disclaim any liability, whatsoever, whether financial or otherwise with respect to any financial transaction that you may make on third party Applications listed or displayed on our Application. Users are advised to read respective third party Application and or websites policies before browsing or making financial transactions.
2.3 Additionally, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage sustained by reason of any disclosure (inadvertent or otherwise) of any information concerning the user’s account and / or information relating to or regarding online transactions using credit cards / debit cards and / or their verification process and particulars nor for any error, omission or inaccuracy with respect to any information so disclosed and used whether or not in pursuance of a legal process or otherwise.
2.4 We use the information to improve the Service’s functionality, quality and also personalize your experience. We also use this information to display relevant advertising, provide support, message you, and comply with legal obligations.
2.5 Please note that some of this information is automatically collected without you voluntarily choosing to provide this information to us.
We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you. Generally, this information is requested when you create a registration or login ID on the Application or when you connect or browse connected Applications, linked or listed on our Application, or join a limited-access premium Application. We use your Personal Information for four primary purposes:

4.1 Third parties provide certain services available on the Application. The Application may provide information, including Personal Information that we collect from you and provide the same to third party Applications to help us deliver programs, products, information, and services to you. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that these third-party service providers are obligated to protect Personal Information on your behalf.
4.2 Third Party Applications:
Our Service may contain links to other Applications and or websites. If you choose to click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s Application and or websites. But you will not be able to access areas that require registration, and you will not be able to fulfil transactions and or book items successfully through our application. If you decide to register, you will be able to select the kinds of information you want to receive from us by subscribing to various services, like our electronic newsletters. If you do not want us to communicate with you about other offers regarding the Application’s programs, events, or Services by email, postal mail, or telephone, you may select the option stating that you do not wish to receive notifications from us.
We will provide you with the means to ensure that your Personal Information is correct and current. You may review and update this information at any time at the login section. There, you can:
7.1 The Application has taken strong measures to protect the security of your Personal Information and to ensure that your choices for their intended use are honoured. We take strong precautions to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
7.2 Since this is a ‘Marketplace only Application’, we do not guarantee your transactions through 3 rd parties to be entirely safe and secure. When you place orders through our connected web links, you must ensure that you are:
7.3 You also have a significant role in protecting your information. No one can see or edit your Personal Information without knowing your user name and password, so do not share these with others.
8.1 When you login to the Application’s secured pages, we may ask you to register yourself electronically. When you do, we merge your registration information with any information you’ve already left with us (we call that information your personal profile). If you haven’t previously registered with us, we create a personal profile for you from your registration information. If you ever want to review or update that information, you can visit the Application, click on update profile, and edit any of the Personal Information in your profile.

9.1 As mentioned above, every registered customer has a unique personal profile. Each profile is assigned a unique personal identification number, which helps us ensure that only you can access your profile.
9.2 Cookies : When you visit our Application, we may place “cookies” on your computer to recognize you. We do this to store your preferences, collect statistical data and track your use of our Service. Cookies are widely used, and most web browsers are configured initially to accept cookies automatically. If you prefer not to accept cookies, you may adjust and configure your browser settings accordingly. However, if you turn off cookies, or refuse to accept a request to place a cookie, some features and services on the Application may not function properly. Ad companies (including but not limited to Google and Facebook) may also place cookies on your computer to track your activities across various Applications so that they can display targeted advertisements.

10.1 When you join us, you provide us with your contact information, including your name, zip code and email address. We use this information to send you updates about our Services, questionnaires to measure your satisfaction with our Service and announcements about new and exciting services that we offer.
10.2 We will disclose your Personal Information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) confirm to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on the Application; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Garag; and (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Garag or the public.

12.1 We limit access to Personal Information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
12.2 We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with the laws prevalent in USA to protect personal information about you. We seek to ensure compliance with applicable technology laws to ensure the protection and preservation of your privacy. Additionally, we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or via mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
12.3 Garag has the right to store the information of each successful transaction for a period of 6 months. Both, lender and borrower will be able to request information of their successful transactions via Garag platforms ( mobile app and website). After six months period, the information of any conducted transaction on Garag will be archived and accessible only through Garag technical team. If a borrower or a lender is requesting transactional information that are older than 6 months, Garag will have to process the retrieval from their end and this should take at least up to one month.

GARAG IS ONLY AN INTERMEDIARY SERVICE PROVIDER
User of this application or website understand and acknowledge that Garag is only an intermediary service provider (“ Intermediary ”), and not a distributor or publisher of items supplied or listed on our application or website. Accordingly, Garag has no more control over such items than does a public library, bookstore, marketplace, or newsstand. Any opinions, advice, statements, services, offers, or other information or content expressed or made available by lenders are those of the respective owners or distributor and not of Garag. Garag does not guarantee the merchantability, usability, fitness or usefulness of items listed on our Application or website.
Lender : An Individual who is using Garag to list unutilized items and allow other borrowers to rent them for specific period time at a certain cost the lender assigns.
Borrower : An Individual who is using Garag to borrow unutilized items from lender for specific period of time at certain cost.
Item : Item/belongings that are owned by lenders and could be listed to be lent through Garag to borrowers.
Rent : The process of allowing borrowers to use lend/borrow an item for a specific period of time at certain cost the lender assigns.
Profile : Specific tab in Garag where individuals or businesses owners can access; in order to build their data bank that includes their name(s), their Email address(es), their password(s), their address(es), their phone number(s), the pickup location. Also, it gives users access to create their billing information which is mainly the credit cards details. More, it gives access to register the bank details, review Garag earnings, invite new friends or users to the application, and contact Garag Support team and signing out or deleting the entire account.
Category : A class or division of individuals’ items that have shared characteristics and/ or of one kind.
Lender Garag: The tab that allows lenders to list new items in specific categories, manage each listed item through editing the item(s) description(s), item(s) rental price, the pickup location, also Lenders can review the item to check the quality of the image(s) taken and posted on Garag.
List item : The option of posting an item/item on Garag through a Lender in order to allow borrowers to rent them.
Manage item : The tab that allows the Lender to edit, change, and or delete the items listed on Garag.
Dashboard: The tab where lenders and borrowers can control the entire renting process that includes: Accepting and rejecting rental requests, active orders, photos proof, my products orders history.
Booked items : The list of items that were rented by a borrower from a lender for specific period of time at certain cost.
My Favourites : List of items that were highlighted by borrowers as preferred items to be rented in the future..
Wish list : The tab where lenders and borrowers can list their wants/needs that are not available on Garag either if that is a service or item or specific feature to be added to the application
GaragExpereince : A tab in Garag that allows lenders and borrowers to share their rental experience after each successful transaction and post it on that tab to foster and show the community that trust is the value.
Garag Near me : A tab that shows randomly a broad range of items listed nearby the location of the borrower at the time of using the application.
Pick up location : The exact location where a lender assigns to pick up items by borrower. Also, it allows the 3rd party logistics company to efficiently pick up the item and deliver it to the borrower.
Billing Info : A tab that allows the borrower to insert his credit card details that will be used to pay the rental price for any item listed on Garag. That includes the Credit Card Holder name, Credit Card number, Expiry Date, and CVV.
My Bank Details : A Tab that allows the lender to insert his bank account details where the bi weekly earnings that are made through renting items through Garag will be deposited onto.
Garag Earnings : The bi weekly revenue of a lender through renting items through Garag.
Active orders : A tab that shows to items that are currently rented out to borrowers. Transactions that are still in progress.
Photos proof : A tab that allows the Lender to take pre-proof photos of the item(s) he/she is listing on Garag before a borrower pick it up. Also, it allows the lender to take post proof phots of the rented item once dropped off.
History : A tab that allows the Lender to have a look at the previous data of all past successful transactions.
Pre proof Video : An option of taking 10 seconds video of the item(s) that is going to be rented to a borrower before pick up. It helps in making sure that item condition is observed by the lender and the borrower and at the same time, monitored and attested through Garag team.
Post Proof Video : An option of taking 10 seconds video of the item(s) that is was rented to a borrower before drop off at the lender’s side. It ensures that the condition of the items after been used by the borrower is as the same condition before renting it.
Claim : The process of filing a claim against the lender or the borrower in case of dispute such as: misbehaviour during the entire renting process, an item is returned damaged (unlike the same condition when it was delivered to borrower), Item is stolen and never the borrower returns it to the lender.
